HISTORY
Meat has been cooked over an open fire since the Neanderthals learned to make fire. It’s this primal aspect of cooking with fire that drives modern man to labor for hours over a hot fire on a hot summer’s afternoon.
The origin of Barbecuing is thought to have begun when the Caribbean Arawak Indians taught the Spanish sailors the art of BARBACOA (means: wooden sticks). The Arawak Indians placed the meat on green wooden sticks over an outdoor fire.
